Artwork from 2010 to 2012

My recent work represents a series where I have moved from oil to acrylic with a predominant use of gold pigment and gold leaf.

 

I want to achieve an ideal harmony and to be emotionally connected through painting with the universal idea of the complexities and mysteries of the body and face as a work of art. Each time I make a painting I celebrate the life I love and the beauty I know, which also distills personal feelings of isolation and connectedness, despair, rebellion and hope.

 

Art in all its forms is a very very important expression of the human spirit.
